Anchor

I’m clinging to this storm-tossed boat –

as waves beat down to where I am

So many drowning, but will not turn –

to the Light I see – glimpsed beyond this storm.

All their crude little self-made rafts have not weathered –

So they find their “salvation” sunk

I hold out grace from my Captain –

But they cling to their shifting debris.

Why should I fear?

Though waters tremble beneath

My boat yet stands unmoved, attached;

Firmly, to the Captain’s Son
